A beautiful and elegant mountain wedding in Breckenridge

Yesterday I introduced you to Amanda and Trevor, a wonderful couple from Michigan who chose to do a destination wedding here in Colorado. They knew that no matter where they got married, the majority of the people would be traveling so they decided to say “I Do” in a place that was meaningful to them – a small church in Breckenridge where Amanda’s parents were married.

Planning a wedding from afar is no easy task to do on your own, so they enlisted the help of Erica from Erica Sarell Weddings + Events to help pull everything together. Erica not only had ties to a great network of wedding vendors in the Breckenridge area, but she also had the modern aesthetic that the couple was looking for. The main components to the design were black and white stripes, then they brought in pops of pinks and gold. The result was a modern elegant affair! My favorite piece of decor was the custom archway adorned with amazing florals over the head table, built by Southern Charm Weddings + Events.

Amanda wore a beautiful gown that had a lace bodice and button details on the back and sleeves. Her sideswept hair style polished off her elegant look. Trevor wore a sleek black suit with a handsome bow tie. His boutonniere provided a little pop of color to his look.

The couple’s reception was at Black Mountain Lodge at the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area. I love this venue because in order to get to it you have to take the ski lift up the mountain. It provides an amazing experience for your guests and amazing views once you get to the top. My favorite thing about weddings at Black Mountain Lodge is getting to take the ski lift down under the starry sky at the end of the night!
