A bright, jewel toned affair
The past couple of years, Colorado weddings have been beautiful outdoor affairs filled with muted color palettes and vintage, rustic details. I am a huge color person so I am so over-the-moon happy to see bright color schemes and modern touches coming back onto the scene. Take Amanda and Tony’s gorgeous outdoor wedding for example. They chose the Westin Westminster as their venue because it had a wonderful outdoor location where they could exchange vows in an intimate ceremony, but then had an elegant ballroom where they could celebrate in style. I love the jewel toned color palette they used – with teal accents, bright colored florals and don’t forget the fushia pink shoes Amanda wore down the aisle! The bright colors played off the budding greenery really well, and then at the reception they added a beautiful richness to the ballroom. Their wedding planner, Wendie Bass, did an amazing job of creating an elegant day but made sure to bring a bit of Amanda and Tony’s laid back style to the design as well. With a great selection of the couple’s favorite craft beers and a relaxed menu that included a build-your-own Mac and Cheese bar, the day was really designed around the couple and their personality. As Wendie put it – it was a fun and flirty affair!
