This is Beaudee! Beaudee was a member of my Class of 2020 Street Team and I met him for the first time in April of his junior year when he came to the studio for what I call the Launch Session, the beginning of his graduation pictures journey with me. The Launch Session is a special session I do with all my Street Team members right after they join the team. It’s a great way for me to get to know each one better and to get some fresh, new images for my marketing.
I like to do the majority of my graduation pictures outdoors. People usually feel more comfortable outside plus we can do different things when we’re not limited by the studio space. However, April in Minnesota can be a little chilly, so that usually means we shoot fast when outdoors. Beaudee’s Launch Session started in the studio (one of my first sessions in my new space!!) then we braved the chill and headed outdoors for a few quick shots. The cold didn’t phase Beaudee much. He’s a hockey player so he’s used to being on the ice. His main graduation picture session was done in October and it was much warmer and we were able to take advantage of the colorful fall leaves without freezing.
As I mentioned, Beaudee is a hockey player and quite an accomplished one at that! He has played for not only his high school but also with a couple teams in the United States Hockey League and the American Hockey League. One of his big accomplishments this past year was helping his high school team get to their first ever State Championship game.
