This is Carter! He is the last of my Class of 2020 Street Team members to introduce to you. I had so much fun getting to know him this past year. He’s a very laid back guy so planning his senior photos session was pretty easy. He knew he wanted something in an outdoors setting and also wanted to do some photos at the baseball field he’s been playing at since he was a kid.
The day of Carter’s full senior photos session last summer, I had been watching the weather. The forecast looked like it would just be cloudy, and the rain wouldn’t move in until later in the evening. We were only doing 2-3 outfits so the session wouldn’t take that long. We started with photos down at Stillwater’s Boomsite. I love this area because there’s different places we can explore and it’s constantly changing with the water level of the river. Carter wanted to try and get some photos with his two labs, Bear and Bennett. Bear wasn’t too into getting his pictures taken and Bennett was super excited to be somewhere new to explore, but we were able to get a couple photos of Carter with the pups.
When we were finishing up down by the water at the Boomsite, I happened to notice that the sky was starting to get dark. Once we walked up the stairs back to the parking lot, we pulled up the weather radar and decided to head to the 2nd location to see if we could get the session completed before it rained. However, on the way there the lightning started, so we decided we’d reschedule the sports photos for another day. Good thing we did because on the way back to the studio it opened up and DOWNPOURED!
The morning we picked to finish up Carter’s session was much better! Nice and sunny. Carter is quite the baseball player. Early in his high school career he took the title of MVP and Captain for his team his sophomore year. He’s also planning on continuing to play at college next year. Carter also plays soccer and happened to have one of his jerseys in his car so I had him throw it on and do a few photos in it as well. There was a great dark brick building nearby which I knew would look great with his blue jersey.
