Last year was the first year children’s photography started to be a big part of my business and I’ve loved every minute of it! Ava is my cousin’s daughter and they live in Illinois, around Chicago – so needless to say I do not get to see her that often. But I did have the opportunity to photograph her when she was just 3 months old, and now she’s a year! My how time flies! It worked out perfectly, they came to Iowa for a wedding and so we were able to photograph little Ava’s 1 year session at the same time. When we started the session, she was very shy and didn’t quite know what to think about all the large equipment and the new place she was in. But by the end she was showing off her cheerleading moves and smashing a cake with a big smile on her face.
