Eliana | Colorful Senior Portraits Around Stillwater

This is Eliana. She is the sister of one of my past clients, Nadia, who came to me for high school senior portraits two years ago. I loved working with Nadia so much that when it was time for Eliana to be a senior, of course I wanted her on my Class of 2020 Street Team for the Stillwater, Minnesota studio location. 

I really enjoy getting to know each of my high school seniors because they are all so different and have their unique talents. Eliana is a quiet individual so I was kind of surprised to learn that she’s a member of her high school’s powerlifting team! And not only that but she was also part of the state qualifying team that went on to win the State Championship! Totally awesome!

One of the best things about having my portraits studio in downtown Stillwater is that I have so many great backgrounds to choose from, all within walking distance. From an empty lot that was overgrown with green grasses and pops of orange flowers here and there, to the beautiful front of the Lowell Inn, we were able to get some variety of backgrounds without going more than 3 blocks from the studio door.

Eliana loves everything outdoors. One of her requests was for flowers or a flower field. With her senior portraits session being scheduled for August we had LOTS of flowers to choose from. We got some color in the urban shots in downtown Stillwater, but then got even more when we headed to the Boom Site. 

While we were photographing down by the water, Eliana noticed a little butterfly hanging out on the beach. She knelt down to check it out and I snapped a quick couple of photos. Those turned out to be her favorites of the whole session! So spontaneous and fun.

What are you looking forward to the most during your senior year?
All of the fun school activities like sporting events, sports practices, clubs, and spending as much time as possible with my classmates before we all go our separate ways.

What are 3 things you can’t live without?
My phone, my friends and family, & warm summer days.

What’s your favorite thing to do on weekends?
I love driving to the cities and visiting my friends, going hiking, going to parks, painting, and just being outside when the weather is good!!

Do you have any unique talents?
I play ukulele, and am decent at painting.

What is your dream job?
Helping people landscape someplace warm and sunny, gardening, and being able to do a little bit of everything I love.
