Spring is officially here – the grass is turning green, the flowers are coming out of the ground, and the weather is getting warmer allowing us photographers to get out of the studio and back to the fun, on location sessions. The past couple of weeks I’ve had a lot of inquiries for engagement sessions and I’m loving it! I’m finally getting back in the groove of photographing people after spending the past three months doing more commercial work. I love spring!
This year is the first year that I’m officially doing weddings on my own for the studio and so far have three on the books. One of them is my cousin, Amanda’s, wedding back in Clarion, Iowa. Their date is set for the end of June so it’s definitely time for their engagement session 🙂 When I was home over Easter, we set aside some time to do their photos around Clarion. We hit up some of the local “landmarks” like the Gazebo and went out to Lake Cornelia. I also found this amazing rusted stair case in one of Clarion’s alley ways. It was quite an adventure, I must say, as I braved walking into some prickly weeds with only flip flops on….ah what one must do for great photography! 🙂 I had a blast photographing these two and can’t wait to photograph their big day! Now on to designing a fantastic guest book to go along with their custom designed announcements. Thanks you two for a wonderful afternoon!
