Meet Isabelle! Isabelle came to me for senior photos in December, which was perfect for snowy images! Most senior photo sessions are done during the summer between junior and senior year of high school, or in the fall right at the beginning of the school year but Isabelle’s high school had a later yearbook deadline so it gave us the flexibility to shoot later in the year.
While doing a snowy senior photo session in Minnesota can be a little tricky since it can be quite cold sometimes, the perk is we can get some amazingly beautiful images that are different than what your classmates are doing. The day of Isabelle’s session wasn’t too incredibly chilly and she was a trooper! We’d shoot for a little bit, then throw her coat on to warm up while walking to the next location, then do it all over again. She even humored me at one point with throwing snow up in the air with her bare hands!
The night before Isabelle’s senior photo session we got a fresh dusting of snow so everything was very pretty. I love it when there’s snow in the trees as it just makes everything look that much prettier. Some of my favorite images are the ones we did in front of the Lowell Inn. I love the look of the twinkle lights in the trees, and the color of the evergreen decor everywhere. There’s something really magical about wintertime photo sessions for sure!
