An intimate mountain wedding at Lake Dillon

One of the things I love about being a wedding photographer is that no two weddings are ever the same! I love when my couples create their dream wedding day around who they are and what they love, making it an extension of them as a couple. Take Melissa and John – they have a love for the outdoors, it seems like they are always in the mountains on some sort of adventure. So it was no surprise that they chose to be married in an intimate ceremony held in a beautiful outdoor mountain setting with their friends and family. Windy Point Campground at Lake Dillon was the perfect spot for them – a private area for their friends and family to park their campers, they could all spend the weekend together, and say I Do surrounded by the beautiful scenery. When I pulled up to the site the afternoon of the wedding I was blown away by the breath taking views. The original plan was to exchange vows on the beach at the edge of the lake, but since the weather was a little iffy, raining off and on all day, they decided to move everything to the covered shelter house. The decor was a wonderful mix of brightly colored wild flowers and rustic touches of burlap and unfinished wood. There was just so much love and laughter the whole day – now that’s what a wedding is all about! Congratulations Melissa and John! Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful mountain wedding!
