A weekend full of love in the mountains

Meet Amanda and Trevor – A wonderful couple who came all the way from Michigan to get married in the mountains! Often times with destination wedding couples, we don’t get the chance to meet until the day of the wedding. But with Amanda and Trevor, they came a couple days before so we were able to arrange an engagement session at Red Rocks before they headed up the mountain to Breckenridge. I love getting to know my couples before their big day, and what better way to build a relationship than to photograph them!

Knowing they had a few busy days ahead of them, getting the final details in place for their mountain wedding, we decided to do their engagement session first thing the day after they landed. The morning was perfect – the sun was out and not a cloud in the sky. There are so many great places to photograph in Red Rocks, many that are my reliable go to’s, but while scouting locations that morning I found this wonderful place in the park that had an amazing view of the front range. I knew I wanted to use this place to give them some spectacular photos that really showed off the area.
