Troy | Senior Pictures in Downtown Stillwater

Meet Troy, another one of my awesome Class of 2020 seniors. Like a lot of high school senior guys, getting senior pictures taken wasn’t exactly high on Troy’s priority list. But because he’s a great son, and knew his mom really wanted pictures, he appeased her and booked a session.

We started the session in downtown Stillwater. Some of my favorite photos from Troy’s session were the ones in the parking garage. That location worked well with his casual style and I love how the neutral background really made him stand out.

Senior picture sessions with guys are usually a lot different than sessions with girls. Girls tend to have numerous outfits, locations, props and ideas. Guys often are happy with a couple outfits, maybe a change of location, and we tend to incorporate more of their hobbies into their sessions. That’s exactly what we did with Troy’s session. He loves tennis and in fact was the captain of his high school tennis team, so of course we photographed part of his session at the tennis courts.

What’s your favorite thing to do on weekends?
My favorite thing to do on the weekend is hanging out with friends.

What was one of  your biggest accomplishments in high school?
Advancing past round 1 in tennis individual sections.

What is your goal after high school?
To become an electrician.

If you were given a million dollars tomorrow and had only one day to spend it, what would you do?
Buy a nice tennis racket, a nice phone, a nice truck and food.
